Hardy Amies blazer
Hardy Amies was a British clothing designer best known for dressing Queen Elizabeth II. Once a well-established Saville Row tailor, Amies also designed the costumes for Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. The brand was sold in 1973 and Amies died in 2003, but is still going strong in Australia. At one point, Amies wrote a regular column for Esquire, and published a book called ABC of Men's Fashion where he stated:
"A man should look as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care and then forgotten all about them."
Which I think is something that could be said of all of us.
