Koinobori Windsock

Paris-based Madame Mo revisits the mythical Japanese wind socks: the Koinobori. With koinobori, let poetry, art and Japanese delicacy infuse your daily life!

Made of organic cotton, koinobori, a real lucky charm for children in Japan, is an unusual decorative object, which, with its shimmering colors, illuminates everyday life.

It brings a unique decorative touch to homes, terraces, balconies or gardens.

What is the story behind this pretty fish? The koinobori, a windsock in the shape of a carp, is a mythical object in Japan: it is the gift that is offered, as a lucky charm during the Children's Day (Kodomo No Hi) on May 5.

Designed in Paris and made in India with organic cotton.

Kokoro - Small: Madame Mo had fun with the koinobori Kokoro to let her inspiration lead her by the tip of her nose, but always with heart. Kokoro means heart in Japanese. This koinobori confounds, it becomes a clown and floods with joy the place in which it finds itself.
SIZE: 27.5" x 10.4"

Jo - Medium: This koinobori is similar to a classic print of Mount Fuii, popular in the ukiyoe artistic movement. It features Japanese pines (matsu) and a setting sun that evokes the sun of the Japanese flag. The harmony of colors is enough to capture your heart! Treat yourself to a window on the most famous mountain in Japan!
SIZE: 39.4" x 13.8"

Kokoro Nami - Medium: Here is a koinobori with breath! Very present in the Japanese imagination, the theme of the wave has imposed itself on Madame Mo. The combination of gold, the blue of the wave and the red orange imprints a nice energy. Energy that can also be found in koinobori Kokoro.
SIZE: 39.4" x 13.8"

Sakura Tattoo - Mini: This koinobori is definitely an ode to Japanese spring. Resplendent with cherry blossoms, Hanami,  is a unique moment so popular with the Japanese that the country stops for a weekend of contemplative time in the parks to picnic, have fun, share and connect. The Sakura koinobori is Madame Mo's Hanami. Give it to anyone who aspires to slow down the pace of their life, to embrace a slower life.
SIZE: 17" x 6"

Daylight Blue - Small: This Koi carp fits in everywhere: from your room, your balcony, or kitchen. In any case, this windsock will bring a touch of color and poetry to the decoration of your exterior as well as your interior! Little anecdote: the Light Blue Koinobori is one of our oldest references; year after year, we have the joy of seeing it alternately floating in the wind, being exhibited during Kodomo No Hi (the Japanese children's party), or presented as a canvas on the wall of a living room. Its soft and bright blue makes the hearts of young and old capsize.
